They were first introduced in 1996, when their only competition was "Canuma". Canuma papers were very thick hemp papers from Germany. Chills wanted something better, so they brought out the ultra-thin hemp papers that they still produce, which feature a natural gum strip. They immediately became a success on the market! The Chills Alien and Tribal Hemp papers were the first ever to be approved for sale by US Customs!
