Founded by George G. Blaisdell in 1932, Zippo got its start by obtaining the rights to an Austrian windproof lighter and re-designed it to suit their needs. Since then, Zippo has expanded their product line to include key holders, tape measures, money clips, writing instruments, pocket knifes, and a wide range of multipurpose liters, all backed by their lifetime guaranty.
